Will it work? Can you guarantee results?

It works! I have had 100 % success rate with all my clients that have been consistent and followed through with the programme. Parents play a crucial role in the success of the sleep training process. Your commitment and consistency are key factors in achieving your goals. With close guidance from me, you'll have the necessary tools and support to navigate the process effectively. While I cannot guarantee specific outcomes due to factors beyond my control, such as illness or unexpected events, I can assure you that I'll provide you with the education and strategies needed to address any challenges that arise. If I identify any concerns that may require additional expertise, such as medical issues, I will communicate this transparently. Ultimately, I offer a service that includes information, support, and guidance, but the results depend on your dedication and implementation of the strategies provided. I'm here to support you every step of the way

Can you sleep train whilst breastfeeding?

Yes, you can absolutely sleep train while breastfeeding. I have worked with many families that have successfully combined breastfeeding and sleep training to promote healthy sleep habits for their baby. It's important to establish a consistent feeding schedule during the day, incorporate breastfeeding into your baby's bedtime routine, and ensure their hunger needs are met during the sleep training process.  With patience, consistency, and support, it's possible to achieve restful sleep for both you and your baby while continuing to breastfeed.

What methods do you use?

As a sleep consultant, I offer a range of sleep training methods tailored to your child's unique temperament and sleep associations. Through a thorough assessment, I identify the approach that best suits your child. My goal is to eliminate guesswork for you by providing a personalized plan tailored to your child's needs and that fosters healthy sleep habits. Rest assured, every method I recommend is gentle, responsive, and prioritizes your child's well-being. I do not advocate for the 'cry it out' method, ensuring that you and your child receive compassionate support throughout the sleep training process.

Does sleep training affect attachment?

Sleep training can be a sensitive topic when it comes to attachment, as some parents worry that it may negatively impact the parent-child bond. However, research and expert opinions suggest that when done in a sensitive and responsive manner, sleep training does not harm attachment and can even support it. Effective sleep training methods involve a responsive approach where parents attend to their child's needs, offer comfort, and provide reassurance during the process. This helps maintain a secure attachment by showing the child that their caregiver is available and responsive.
Adequate sleep is crucial for parental well-being and mental health, which indirectly impacts the parent-child relationship. By promoting better sleep for both the child and the parent, sleep training can contribute to a more positive and nurturing caregiving environment, ultimately supporting attachment.

Are results lasting?

Absolutely!  I will provide you with the tools you need to stay consistent, ensuring that the positive sleep habits you establish now will endure over time.

Furthermore, through this process, you'll develop a proven skill set tailored specifically to your child. Understanding what works best for your little one is invaluable, and it will serve as a foundation for their ongoing sleep success.

As your child grows, their schedule may naturally evolve, presenting new challenges along the way. But fear not, because you'll have the confidence and know-how to proactively handle these changes. I will be providing you with all the tools and knowledge to navigate yourself around the changes that happen with sleep.

Will my baby cry?

It's natural for babies and young children to communicate through crying. However, I don't advocate for the "Cry it out" method, which involves leaving a child alone without any response. Instead, all my approaches are gentle and responsive, ensuring that we address your child's needs while promoting healthy sleep habits.

As we introduce changes to your child's sleep routine and help them learn new skills, they may protest to the changes initially, which they might express through crying. I'll assist you in interpreting their cries, understanding their needs, and providing an appropriate response. You can trust that we'll never ignore your child's cries; instead, we'll work together to address them sensitively.

While change can be challenging, the benefits of achieving restful sleep for both your child and your family are well worth it. Together, we'll navigate this process with patience, understanding, and compassion.
